I have had a real soft-spot for patchwork for a little while now, ever since I really started to appreciate the preppier style of dressing. What really impressed me about this vintage GAP piece, however, is the fact that it has been one entirely in shades of blue, which is really perfect for me and my predominantly blue wardrobe. I don’t really believe that you can go out looking to find something second hand, and so this vintage GAP piece was definitely a lucky find to my eyes. (more…)

I bought this leopard print hate from ASOS recently, and I have been looking forward to trying it out. Now that we’re getting into the warmer weather here in Canberra my thoughts are turning towards protecting my pasty white skin from the incredibly harsh rays of the Australian sun, and now that I have the hat I am that much better off. Granted, as far as sun protection goes this hat is not exactly up there. It is better than no hat at all, which is what I ordinarily wear. Plus, it was a perfect excuse to give into my budding fixation with leopard print.
With the lovely Spring weather in full swing here in Canberra, I’m moving into using my lighter blazers more and more.
This gorgeous seersucker blazer replaced a women’s blazer that I picked up at a church fete and fell in love with. It was realistically the seersucker fabric that I loved, but I clung to that blazer for some time before I finally retired it at Mags’ insistence. This model at least fits my body shape better, and it is the perfect weight for this time of year. (more…)
A few weeks back I (rather aggressively) entered a competition on Instagram for a new Australian company, Bambooz, to win a $150 store credit for their online store.
I really liked the style of the glasses, and the colours, but I wasn’t sure how how they would look on me, or feel for that matter, and so I thought that the competition would be the perfect opportunity to experiment with a new style of glasses, without having to fork out for something that may very well not suit me. So, I entered the competition the maximum number of times allowed (five, fyi), and stalked the wesite, trying to decide which style I would purchase with my credit if I won.
And then, of course, I did win, and I chose something completely different.
