Well, there goes October! I feel like I closed my eyes for only a second and suddenly two thirds of the month is gone, bringing me that much closer to my departure to Japan for three weeks of holidays, as well as a host of other life stuff. It is a bit surreal just how quickly this month has gone for me, and between preparing for Japan, moving jobs and preparing to celebrate five years with my boyfriend, I feel like I have had very little energy left to spend on taking care of myself and my daily outfits. It is starting to heat up during the days here in Canberra, but thankfully the mornings and evening remain blissfully cool, which has given me the opportunity to get a lot of wear out of this gorgeous new sweatshirt from H&M. I picked this up while is was in Melbourne with my best friend Mags and her mum over the October long weekend, and I am so glad to have found it. It is a mid-weight flecked cotton sweatshirt with a crew neck and elastic cuffs and waist, and despite being essentially gym or activewear, this little piece is a fantastic staple for any occasion. I’ve only shopped at H&M once or twice in my life, but I have found their products to be consistently well made and this sweatshirt is no different. It is also the perfect seasonally transitional piece. In the lead up to Japan I’ll be talking about a new wardrobe challenge that I’ve set myself, and this little sweatshirt has a huge role to play in that, so keep your eyes peeled!
Today I wore the sweatshirt in the morning, but by lunchtime it was just too warm for me and I wound up taking it off. I wore:
gold-tone aviator sunglasses with blue mirrored lenses – ebay
blue cotton sweatshirt with white flecking – Divided by H&M, Melbourne
blue cotton crew-neck t-shirt – ASOS
navy and white cotton webbing belt – Sportscraft
heavily distressed resin coated Riley tapered jeans – G-Star Raw
navy and white Roshe Runs – Nike
