Daily Outfit: Travel Track Pants

Today I am off to a mountain cabin for two nights with the boyfriend for a belated Valentine’s Day getaway. It’s only a two and a half hour drive away, but I still wanted to be comfortable for the trip, so I wore track pants to work. Yes, you read that right, I wore track pants to work. This is obviously taking ‘Casual Friday’ to a whole new sordid level, however I was determined to give it a try as several of my favourite Bloggers from around the interwebs have pulled this look of. So, I wore my insanely comfortable and luxurious Bershka track pants that I picked up in Tokyo last year. They’re more fitted than regular track pants, with contrast cuffs and pockets and a huge zipper detail on the front pockets. I paired this with a simple t-shirt a blazer combination and then… The shoes are what really threw me. Everyone I have seen pull this look off is a woman, and wore killer heels with the outfit, really setting it off. I wasn’t about to cram my hooves into high heels for anybody, and regular leather shoes would look ridiculous. I opted for thongs; and it just looks tacky. It is a work in progress, so I will try, try again 🙂

For today’s travel-friendly outfit I’m wearing:

Midnight blue blazer – ASOS, thrifted
Navy cotton T-shirt with ‘Macho’ print – SlickItUp
Navy cotton cuffed track pants with zipper pocket details – Bershka
Black rubber things – Havaianas

Monogram canvas Delightful GM bag – Louis Vuitton
