It was a truly gorgeous day here in the Capital, and I decided to make the most of the glorious weather and to bust out some short shorts. I’ve never rally been one for short shorts, or for shorts of any length for that matter, but I grabbed these for my trip to Finland earlier in the year and I’ve never looked back. It was the perfect weather for short shorts too- the sun was shining vibrantly, there was a beautiful cool breeze, and I got to catch up with a fantastic friend while drinking tea and watching as the world passed by.
. As such, I’m wearing:
Brooklyn sunglasses in blue and mirrored silver – Bambooz
Navy pinstriped wool blazer – Rebrandt Sartorial, thrifted
White crew neck t-shirt with pocket detail – ESPRIT, via ASOS
Navy and white cotton webbing belt – Sportscraft
Navy chino short shorts in shorter length – ASOS
Cream and navy runners – Puma, thrifted
Monogram canvas perforated pochette plate in orange – Louis Vuitton, ebay
While I wanted to make the most of the beautiful weather and wear short shorts, I also wanted to keep my tattoos covered to avoid sun-damage as much as possible. I wasn’t sure how the short shorts and blazer look was going to go, and when I walked into Ha Ha Bar I got a few confused looks from some of the other patrons, but looking at these amazing photos that Jiawa took for me, I think that the combination works really well. These short shorts are from ASOS and these are the shortest length that they have, but I often fold them up a little more. I decided against it for the public’s sake today, after all, not everyone likes short shorts.
